Susan (Tighe) Dremann – CEO and Founder
Experience and Background:
Susan Dremann has been passionate about teaching and tutoring mathematics since she was in the 8th grade, starting as a teacher’s aide for a 7th-grade math class at Wilde Lake Middle School in Columbia, MD. She continued her journey as a peer tutor during her high school years at Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also tutored at the student tutor center and served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in algebra. As a professional math tutor and adjunct math instructor for Valley Forge Military College until December 2022, Susan further honed her teaching skills.
Currently, Susan is a private tutor and academic coach, as well as the creator of educational online workshops. She has a rich history with the Community College of Allegheny County, the Diocese of Pittsburgh, and various Northern Allegheny County Schools, along with private tutoring for over 40 years across all levels of math, from basic mathematics to Calculus III and Linear Algebra.
Teaching Philosophy:
Susan brings over four decades of tutoring experience, working with students aged nine through 59. Her extensive background includes directing the tutoring of Natural Sciences at Point Park College and homebound tutoring for Pine-Richland School District. Her commitment to fostering educational growth ensures that each student receives personalized guidance to achieve their academic goals.
Personal Life:
Susan is married to an electrical engineer and is the proud mother of three adult children and the grandmother to four (including two bonus grandchildren). Her oldest child is a clinical psychologist and owner of a gourmet pop business, her middle child is a third-grade teacher, and her youngest is an IT specialist. Alongside her biological family, Susan cherishes her extended family of “other” children who have been part of her life journey.
